He was predeceased by: his parents, Felton Pierson and Mary Jane Pierson (Benson); his wife Bettye Sue Pierson; and his siblings, Katie Racheal Friend, Vernilla Marie Holt, Lawrence Felton Pierson, Jesse Atkin Pierson and Mary Elizabeth Pierson-Hill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Connie Barbour of Clanton, Linda White, Terri Darcell Pierson and Tina Lyne Pierson of Cleveland, Ohio; his close friend Julia Bell; his brother Cleo Theford Pierson (Elnora); his grandchildren, Bernard Battle Jr., Ebony Felica Sandford, Maurice William Darnell Barbour and Tevin S. Pierson; his sisters-in-law, Inez Johnson (Clifford), Gloria Barbour and Dora Barbour; and also Comas Bell (Bertha). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
