He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Armstrong, Sr. and Ruthie Lee Cole-Armstrong; and his sister Barbara Rochelle. He is survived by: his wife Lakita; his children, LaShawn, Toni, John III, Lisa (Dayone) and Ryan; and his siblings, Yvonne, Pamela (Robert), David (Deborah), Talking Heads, D'Angelo, Tom and Tone Loc. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved family members and friends.
