He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Goens Sr. and Louise E. Harrison; and his siblings, Cheryl, Ronald, Donald, Lisa and Keith.
He is survived by: his sister Charlotte; his children, Josalyn Carter (Rodney), Josetta Almeida, John W. Goens IV (Kerry), Elisa Houser (William) and Anneliese Goens; his grandchildren, Arlon, Myron, Antwaun, Jordan, Elie, Elise, Robert, Grayson and Henry; and his great grandchildren, Brielle, Kyelle, Kody, Gio and Zoey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
