With sadness, we share the passing of Joy McBrien (Cleveland, Ohio). Joy, born on September 14, 1941, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her great-grandparents, Joey, Ellie, Aislynn, Sadie, Sydney and Tate; her sister Marilyn Cook Huston; her son John T. McBrien; her parents, Donald Cook and Edith Pettit; and her granddaughter Julie Rice.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Rice (Bob) and Joan Ruscin (CJ); and her grandchildren, Bob Rice, Erin Dybala (Joe), Dan Rice (Alexis), Ally Karlsson (Pontus) and Alex Ruscin (Kathryn).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jerome Catholic Church (15000 Lakeshore Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44110). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
