She is survived by: her sister Barbara Jean Patterson; her former husband Robert L. Stokes; her son Marty J. McCaleb (Valerie); her grandchildren, Marlon Stokes (Dorice), Shawn, Kamila, Joey, Lady Marlene, Kellie (Donald) and Marcas; and her great grandchildren, Kamron, Kyndall, Paris, Ajani, Marlon, Caleb, Cameron, Savannah, Donovan, Maliyah and Skylar.
She regularly donated to the NAACP and United Negro College Fund.
