He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Matthew Taylor and Marcella Taylor (Maurice); his significant other Juanita; his children, Leon, Deonte (Lori), Deangelo and Caprice Taylor; his siblings, Pamela Taylor and Michael Taylor; his son De'Angelo; his granddaughters, AuroraLyn and Honesty; his brother Gregory Taylor (Michelle); his godchildren, Herman Johnson Jr. and Jacqueline Roach; his parents-in-law, Cheila, William Harrison and Maurice (Aremetta) of Washington; his cousin Raymond Berry; and his close friends, Reginald and Kathy Johnson. He was also cherished by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Maurice was employed throughout his lifetime but spent over 20 years as a Patient Van Driver for The Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF).
