He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Schmotzer and Agnes E. Schmotzer; his spouse Eudora "Ede" E. Spencer; his sister Arline Zamiska (late John); and his nephew John Zamiska.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey R. Spencer (Elizabeth) of Chagrin Falls, OH and Kent J. Spencer (Jennifer) of Hanover, PA; his grandchildren, Camden, Jack and Shannon Spencer; and his niece Susan Kolosionek (Roman).
