He is survived by: his wife Carol Slater Markus; his children, Linda (Walter Daniels) of Durham, Scott (Kim Nadel) of San Diego and Kent (Susan Gilles) of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Katrina, Slater, Robinson, Etheridge and Austin; his brothers, Tom Markus (La Jolla) and Professor Lawrence Markus (late Lois); and his siblings' children, Connie Oliver, Christine Priday, Dale Sorchy and Lindsey Markus (Philadelphia).
