He is survived by: his wife Shamika Sams; his children, Marcel Wilson, Rodney Barfield Jr., Janey Barfield and Layla Barfield; his grandmother Gladys Malone; his sisters, Katrina Barfield, Latasha Smith and Tiffany Smith; his aunts and uncles, Tonya Turner, Kathleen Fussell, Steven Fussell and David Malone; and his siblings' children, Nasir Smith, Kyree Smith and Nyla McLeod.
Viewing was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaines Funeral Home (5386 Lee Rd, Maple Heights, OH 44137). A wake was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harvest Missionary Baptist Church (3649 E 93rd St, Cleveland, OH 44105). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Memorial Garden (4324 Green Rd, Highland Hills, OH 44122).
