It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie M. Matuch (Cleveland, Ohio), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael; her parents, John Kapel and Jennie Kapel; and her siblings, John Kapel, Marion Slejko (late Stan), Betty Rotar (late Sonny) and Henry Kapel (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her children, Dina Haynosch (Steve), Cindy (late Kenny), Rain Matuch (late Tom McHenry) and Jeanne Matuch; her grandchildren, Nicole (Steve), Danielle (Mike), Mike (Christina), Matt (Cat) and Michael (Coley); her great grandchildren, Norah, Leland, Emma, Leo, Hattie and Brooke; and her sister Vida Zak (late Frank).
