He is survived by: his close friend Beulah Fryman; his children, Diana Boggs (Joe), Robin Studer (Talmadge), Kelly Balsley (William "Bub") and Marcus Greer (Mary); his sisters, Jane Caudill (late Jerry) and Susan Draughn-Heiland (Donnie); and his grandchildren, Zachariah Boggs (Alex), Suvanna Abdon (David), Kristal Barnes (Jacob), Talmadge D. Studer (Traci), Malachi Studer, Britni Engel (Stevie), Robert-Bobby Smith (Tiffany), Mercedes Ray (Derrik) and Marcus-Wade Greer. He is also survived by 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
