He was predeceased by: his father Russell Carl Hess; and his brother-in-law Mike Elko. He is survived by: his mother Patsy Hess (Kestermann); his wife Tracy Hess; his children, Brandon Hess, Kyle Hess, Nicole Hess, Samantha Huseby (Josh), Steven Stumbaugh (Soledad) and Serena Tannehill (Josh); and his siblings, Kimberly Elko, Shawn Hess (Jane) and Joel Hess (Tamela). He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren.
