He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Schmitz and Helen Schmitz (Sutter); and his wife Mary Schmitz (Keegan). He is survived by: his children, Todd Schmitz (Vicki) of Clyde, Dawn Schmitz (Lesley "Bubbs" Steward) of Fremont and Tony Schmitz (Erin) of Bellevue; his grandchildren, Austin, Maryah, Dakota, Brooke, Savannah, Keegan and Elijah; and his great grandchildren, Khloe, Kaesyn, Zephyn, Zek, Avery and Ezra.
