Gerald R. Schoenfeld ObituaryWith heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald R. Schoenfeld, a beloved resident of Clyde, Ohio, who departed this life on April 6, 2025, at the age of 88. His loss is deeply felt by his family and many friends, who will cherish his memory. Friends and loved ones are invited to share condolences with the family through the online guestbook.
Gerald was reunited with his parents, Harvey and Marguerite Schoenfeld, and his siblings, Dan Schoenfeld, Barbara Castigan, and Rose Bodemann, who passed before him.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Paula Samsel, and his children: Todd Matthew (Ron) of Florida, Laurie Shamy (Rick) of Toledo, Tony of Indiana, and Mark (Andrea) of Green Springs. Gerald’s legacy continues through his grandchildren—Alyssa, Rochelle, Tony, Ashton, Jayce, and Adalynn—and his great-grandchildren—Haedyn, Nora, and Harper. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Grace Schoenfeld of Florida, numerous nieces and nephews, and his cherished African Gray Parrot, Regis.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to WHVT 90.5 Clean Air Christian Radio at 1022 S. Main St., Clyde OH 43410. April 7 - 12th is the spring marathon, a great time to honor Jerry with a pledge!
