She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vladeff and Elizabeth Shearn (Pitts); her husband Norman Schmerbeck; her stepfather Gerald Shearn; her sister Carol Frederick; and her daughter-in-law Sandra Gillett.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Gillett, Todd Gillett (Tanya Lagrou), Rebecca Riehl (Matthew), Edwin Gillett (Kari Ann) and Betsy Gillett (Todd Ellison); her stepchildren, Mike Schmerbeck (Suzette), Connie Kern (Gary), Jamie Babbitt (Jay), Peri Schmerbeck and Jeff Schmerbeck (Angie); her grandchildren, Emily, Lauren, Mackenzie, Laini, Alex, Adrienne, Ethan and Elizabeth; her sisters, Beverly Hill (Dale) and Diane Voelker (William); and her aunt Roberta Frampton. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
