He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Yates and Peggy Yates; and his brother Ron Yates. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Tami Sardinha, Gwen Tiell (Bob) and Stephen Yates (Jennifer); his siblings, Carolyn Copsey (Duane), Terry Yates (Cheryl) and Brenda Fortney (Chris); his grandchildren, Erica Sardinha, Bode Sardinha, Shaye Denissoff (Stephen), Jacob Tiell (Taylor Belcher), Ryan Tiell (Rylin Lybarger), Andrew Frederick (Wendy Olvera), Maximus Yates, Alexander Yates (Aaliyah Young), Ryan Averitt, Ella Yates and Sean Averitt; and his great grandchild Sofia Frederick.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home (218 S Main St, Clyde, OH 43410). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Rodger D. Yates, born on the 1st of April 1947 in Charleston, WV, passed on Wednesday March 12, 2025 following a 28-year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
