He was predeceased by : his parents, Novella Campbell (Northcutt) and Dexter Lee Campbell; and his siblings, Vernon Roger Campbell and Margie Campbell. He is survived by : his wife Judy Mackey Shafer; his children, Kimberly Dickman (Larry) of Fremont, Ronald Lee Campbell II of Seabrook, Shannon Campbell of Clyde and William D. "Duke" Campbell of Clyde; his stepsons, Michael Shafer (Amy) of Bay Village and Thomas (Cynthia) of Dublin; and his siblings, John Campbell, Tina Deck of Fremont and Karen White of Florida. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

“Ron was a friend and co-worker here at Chrysler. He was always a man to help you out without question. A great sense of humor and wit. Someone you always looked forward to seeing. I felt that Ron would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. By his many conversations, he truly loved his family and the love and admiration he had for them was so evident.
