She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter P. Gurney and Helen G. Gurney (Overmyer); her husband Donald J. Sherman of Paul's Lutheran Church; her grandson Jacob; her great grandchild Gabriel; and her brothers, Richard Gurney and Jack Gurney.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald L. Sherman (Marsha) of Fremont, Debra K. Carl (Clifton) of Fremont, Michael T. Sherman (Char) of Fremont, Randy J. Sherman (Angela) of Fremont, Jeffrey S. Sherman (Cathy) of Clyde, Kimberly S. Crowell (Allen) of Fremont, Gregory W. Sherman (Julie) of Fremont and Laurie A. Hoffman of Fremont; and her siblings, Betty Zoellner of Toledo, OH, Clifford Gurney (Nancy) of Lakeside, OH, Larry Gurney (Bev) of Sycamore, OH and Tom Gurney (Sarah) of Findlay, OH.. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Rice Township, Memorials can be made in her honor to the American Kidney Foundation.
