He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hinkle and Angeline Hinkle (Justice); his wife June Hinkle (Chafin); his son George Stewart Hinkle; his siblings, Jacob Hinkle, Millie Blankenship, Rose Stancil and Angie Harp; his son-in-law David Burr II; and his siblings-in-law, Rush Blankenship, Bill New, Frank Blankenship, George Chafin (Ellen), William Chafin, Larry Chafin (Susie) and Libby Gue (Benny).
He is survived by: his siblings, George Hinkle (Janet), Nellie Blankenship, Opal New, Lois DiMaria (Steve) and Roberta Peless (Butch); his brother-in-law John Chafin (Vernie); his children, William Hinkle (Sue) of Florence, KY, Millie Burr of Clyde, OH and Joseph Hinkle of Clyde, OH; and his grandchildren, Talisman Hinkle-Burr, Sarah Hinkle, Ava Burr and David Burr, III. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
