He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl, Sr. Bishop and Vergie Lewis Bishop; his former wife Joyce Adkins Bishop; his daughter Ronda James; his grandson Keidan Coleman; and his siblings, Carl "June" Bishop, Jr., Gary Bishop, Phyllis Bryant and Betty Dillon.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Harper Bishop; his children, Deborah Blevins (Rick) of Athalia, Renee Smith (John) of Inman, SC, Kayla Carpenter of Ironton, Stacey Jenkins of Ironton, Esta McCabe of Ironton and Sean McFann of West Hamlin, WV; his sister Barb Murnahan (Bob) of Ironton; his grandchildren, Deborah Blevins, Keela Stephenson, Nicole Smith (Chris), Justin Smith (Kellie), Aaliyah McFann, Peyton McCabe, Tailyn France, Kayson Phillips, Kenni Coleman, Tamara Bridges, Trista Bridges, Trinity Jenkins, Christy Jenkins, Regina Bennett, Stephen Bennett and Willow McFann; his great grandchildren, Dylan Roberts, Parker Stephenson, Sarah Haywood, Katie Stephenson, Eelyn Smith and Ollie Smith; and his great great grandchildren, Leo Roberts, Mason, Matthew Silvas, Sadie Downey and Josie Downey. He is also survived by nieces, nephew and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (1004 S 7th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
