He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Carpenter Surritt; his children, Cathy Martin (Tony) of Euclid and Chris Surritt (Angie) of Coal Grove; his granddaughters, Cait Wheeler (Andy) of Ironton, Haley Lemaster of Coal Grove and Regan O'Brien (Tyler) of Akron; his great grandchildren, Ana Wheeler, Quinn Lemaster, Cash Wheeler and Palmer O'Brien; his sister Patricia Hall of Flatwoods; his siblings-in-law, Jim Carpenter of Ironton, Dee Carpenter (Pearl) of Coal Grove, Kenny Carpenter (Gladys) of Ironton, Bob Carpenter (Brenda) of Coal Grove, Bill Carpenter (Lee Ann) of Ironton and Kim Smith (John) of Coal Grove; his close friend Rich McKee of Ironton; and his grandson Kaden Murphy of Coal Grove.
