He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lefeld and Viola Lefeld (Heuing); his in-laws, Dale, Patricia Winner (Lefeld), Edward Lefeld, Larry Behr and John Krieg; his father-in-law Leonard Gaerke; his in-laws, Lou Ann Gaerke and David Gaerke; his stepfather-in-law Cletus Homan; and his in-laws, Laura Behr (Homan) and Dick Clune.

He is survived by: his wife Linda (Gaerke); his children, Matt, Patricia Lefeld (Branton) of Reno, Chad, Heather Lefeld (Roehm) of Coldwater, Eric and Ashleigh Lefeld (Snell) of Loveland; his grandchildren, Grant, Bruce Lefeld, Jacob, Mara Lefeld, Madeline, Elena and Josephine Lefeld; his in-laws, Alberta Behr (Lefeld) of Ft. Loramie, Phyillis Krieg (Lefeld) of North Star, Francis and Madonna Grieshop (Lefeld) of New Bremen; his mother-in-law Lillian Homan (Gaerke); and his in-laws, Gary Gaerke of Coldwater, Dennis, Andrea (Falk) of Port Huron, Cindy, Ken McNett of Wapakoneta, Nick, Jan Gaerke (Wannemacher) of Centerville, Terry, Phyllis Gaerke (Sutter) of Coldwater, Jim, Marlene Balster (Gaerke) of New Bremen, Leonard, Lucy Gaerke (Brown) of Coldwater, Tom Behr of Sidney, Joan Homan (Stelzer) of Hoagland, Sandra Clune (Homan), Alvin, Eileen Homan (Brackman) of Minster and Jane Homan (Kramer) of Coldwater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
