He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hein and Hilda Hein (Thobe); his in-laws, Edgar Moorman, Louis Geier, Ruth and Lee Bilger; his sons-in-law, Dale Brookhart and Norman Hochwalt; his sisters, Rose Moorman and Mary Geier; his in-laws, Linus and Larry Braun; and his sisters, Mary Ann Hoenie (Bob), Berniece Green (Murle) and Alfrieda Ramga (Herb).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Braun; his pet Leroy; his children, Regina, Victoria Zimmerman (Roger), Tom Frericks, Debra Brookhart, Jennifer Hein and Kevin Hein; his grandchildren, Doug Frericks, Dawn Hochwalt, Mark Rosta, Danielle Frericks, Doug Wilkinson, Jeremy Brookhart, Anthony, Tisha Brookhart, Travis and Alexa Brookhart; and his great grandchildren, Darian Stephens, Kenton Hochwalt, Regina Rosta, MacKenzie Blankenship, Austyn, Brooklynn, Carter, Douglas Wilkinson, Kaden Brookhart, Hudson and Hayes Brookhart.
Memorial contributions can be made in Lester's name to the Coldwater Legion.
