With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sonya Sue Elder of Coldwater, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Sonya leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Sonya may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Grammar and Esther Grammar (Wolf); her husband James Elder; her son Craig Elder; and her son-in-law Nick Knapke.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Knapke of Celina; and her grandchildren, Katie Seiler (Tommy) of Powell, Tracie Adams (Alex) of Lewis Center, Brock Elder (Caroline) of Anderson and Grant Elder (Gabby).
