He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fights and Mabel Ruscher; and his wife Peggy Fights. He is survived by: his girlfriend Karen Herschler; his children, Tricia Fights (Ken Grubbs), Melissa Veite (Matt) and Robbie Fights; his grandchildren, Kelsey (Matt), Caleb, Stephanie, Megan, Molly, Lexy and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Llewyn and Nico; and his siblings, Ila Hagl (Bernie), Ed Fights (Diane) and Dave Ruscher (Patti). He is also survived by several nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428).
