It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Phillips (Columbiana, Ohio), who passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard and Anna Moore (Ponchak); her son James K. Phillips; her brothers, Dana (Carolyn), Charles (Carol) and Ronnie Moore; her son-in-law Kevin Finch; her brother-in-law Ray Bone; and her pets, Cinders, Molly, Sophie, Trudy, Cricket and Shadow.
She is survived by: her husband Hugh; her daughters, Patti Finch of New Waterford and Sandy Mattern (James) of Austintown; her grandchildren, David Mattern of Washington, D. C., Bethany Mattern (Edwin Stewart) of Olmsted Falls, Nicholas Finch of Waterford, PA and Donna Finch of New Waterford; and her sister Donna Bone of Austintown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home (154 S Elm St, Columbiana, OH 44408). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
