He was predeceased by : his parents, James L Hartman and Millie Hartman (Ecklar); his sisters, Ruby (Elmer DeRammaleare), Ruth (Willis Wright) and Rose; and his brother-in-law Roy Dotson.

He is survived by : his wife Teresa Hartman (Clum); his children, Randy Hartman (Lori) and Karen Garberson (William); his grandchildren, Adam Garberson (Katy) and Ryan Garberson (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Corbin Garberson, Wyatt Gaberson, Everett Garberson, Rylynn Garberson, Sawyer Garberson and Taylor Garberson.
