With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sylvester Junior Closson of Columbus Grove, Ohio, born in Glandorf, Ohio, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Edna Closson (Maenle); his sister Mary Ann Cramer (Leonard); his son Richard Milford Closson; and his children-in-law, Linda Closson (Ridenour) and Tom Nabors.

He is survived by : his father Sylvester M. Closson; his wife Charlene Deatrick; and his children, Rodney Closson, Loretta Nabors, Randy Closson (Leslie) and Raymond Closson (Johanna). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd or CHP Home Care and Hospice in Van Wert, Ohio.
