With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Raymond Stechschulte (Columbus Grove, Ohio), who passed away on May 18, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Stechschulte and Margaret Stechschulte (Quinn); his former wife Janice Stechschulte; his stepdaughter Janine Bassitt; and his brother-in-law Tony Varchetto.

He is survived by: his wife Carole (Parkins); his children, Keith Stechschulte (Deana), Nathan Stechschulte (Janelle), Michael Stechschulte (Amy) and Ann Alanyak (Ed); his stepchildren, Tom Bassitt (Mindy), Meg Wyss (Todd), Lisa Harrod (Denny Haferd) and Janelle Wolford (Fred); and his siblings, George Stechschulte (Terri), Rose Gerdeman (Larry) and Beth Varchetto. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony of Padua School and Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.

He played basketball in high school and I was a cheerleader for his team. I dated him and have wonderful memories of him and his sister Rosemary. He will be truly missed.
