He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mayberry and Catharine Mayberry (Mullet); his sisters, Carol and Charlene Mayberry; and his grandson Jordan Vogt.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mayberry (Bockrath); and his children, Amy Banal (Jay), Matthew Vogt (Mary Sims), Sara Downs (Matt) and Catharine VandeWalle (Dereck). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Columbus Grove VFW (218 E Sycamore St, Columbus Grove, OH 45830).

Memorial contributions can be made to the Columbus Grove VFW Post 9648, or the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Columbus Grove.
