It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony John Matthews (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Donald Eugene Matthews; his sister Suzie; his sister-in-law Carol; and his pet Missy. He is survived by: his mother Suzanne Collins Matthews; his siblings, Paul, Karen, Molly Trovato (Joseph), Margaret (Patricia Hoyer), Patricia, Michael (Jennifer) and William; his siblings' children, Jack, Patrick, Matthew, Tony, John, Max, Joe, Daniel, Andrew, Thomas and Cathleen; his great-nephews, Vincent and Henry; his great-niece Claire; and his friends, Dan Dragin and David Faure.
Tony gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. And his legacy will always be that he was a very kind, loving and caring individual with a big heart, who always gave to others.
