He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur H. Franke and Dorothy McCrabb Franke. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Sidner; his son Brian Douglas; his grandchildren, Mia Cecile Locatelli and Joseph Franke Locatelli; his brothers, Michael Douglas and Marc Anthony; and his siblings-in-law, Wilbur "Skip" Sidner, Mary Frances Tokar and Judy Carter.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Columbus Mennonite Church (35 Oakland Park Ave, Columbus, OH 43214). A memorial service was held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM and at 3:30 PM at the same location.
