She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas H. Kaufman and Isabelle Haynes-Kaufman; her siblings, Mary E. Kaufman-Tomblin, Carolyn A. Kaufman and Ronald "Ronnie" Kaufman; and her former husband Kevin Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Amanda Kaufman Shirk, Brittany Smith of Columbus and Joseph "Joey" Smith of North Lewisburg; her grandchildren, Tallie Crabtree, Zachary Shirk Jr., Parker Shirk, Jaylynn, Jordan, Jazmyne Fyffe, Zabulan Pitzer and Caleb; and her siblings, Gloria J. Kaufman and Thomas "Tommy" H. Kaufman Jr..
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the funeral home to help the family pay for Barbie's final expenses.
