He was predeceased by: his parents, Freda Shapiro and Harry Shapiro; his siblings, Milton Shepard and Charlotte Singer (Carol Shapiro); and his daughter Ilise Shapiro (Lisa).
He is survived by: his wife Jolene; his children, Neal Shapiro (Tammy), Todd Shapiro, Nina Golding (Tommy), Rhonda Schottenstein (Steve), Sari Alifeld (Randy) and Alan Golding (Amy); his grandchildren, Carrie Bryant (Chris), Chelsea Rothstein, Ross Golding (Yehudis), Paige Winter (Brad), Ali Abady (Jason), Chase Alifeld (Glen), Sy Alifeld, Ashley, Libby, Jacob, Remy Schottenstein, Jake and Zoe Vinci; and his great grandchildren, Eden, Noa Rothstein, Sloane, Reese Winter, Ariella, Adele Golding, Willow Bryant and Maxwell Schottenstein.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Agudas Achim Cemetery (2565 Performance Way, Columbus, OH 43207).
