He was predeceased by: his parents, Golden Charles and Ethel Charles; and his siblings, Josephine, Loraine, Homer, Denney, Russel, Don and Sunny.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Charles; his daughter Lori Newland; his granddaughter Shannon Harrison; and his brother Alton Charles. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
