She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Sherwood and Florence Sherwood; her husband Leon; her children, Emily and Reginald; and her siblings, Oliver, Harold Sherwood of Easton, MD, Alice Mae (Juanita) and Ruth Sherwood Easton, MD.

She is survived by: her daughter Ellen of Columbus, OH; her daughter-in-law Aline of Stockton, CA; her siblings, Earl, Herbert Sherwood of Easton, MD, Jacob (Marianne), Norman (Lola), Stanley, Marion Green and Florence of Easton, MD; her grandchildren, Arthur, Patrick Gonzales (Nancy), Reginald Butts, Quentin Prater, Terrence Meadows, Dorothy Gonzales and Rene Quintero (David); and her close friend Marva Allen. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
