He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Varda and Madeleine Varda; his parents-in-law, Anthony and Lena Gualtieri; his siblings, Walter, Sparky (Millie), Benny (June) and Frances Lombardi (Adam); and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Gualtieri, Mary Ann (Louie) and Rose (Gabe).
He is survived by: his wife Jean "Helen" Varda; his children, Toni Varda (Jim Keckstein), Terri DiBartolomeo (Nick) and David Varda (Becky); his grandchildren, Chris Keckstein, Angie Hayes (Ryan), Angelo DiBartolomeo (Michael), Lena DiBartolomeo, Alyson Hurley (Rick), Zachary Varda and Nathan Varda; and his great grandchildren, Kendall Booth, Landyn, Zaidyn Hayes, Emma and Maddie Hurley.
