It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale IRVIN Sharp (Columbus, Ohio), born in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Louis Sharp; and his cousin Marlon Mosley. He is survived by: his mother Betty Abbott; his wife Sylvia Jeannette Truitt-Sharp (Net); his children, Rodney Williams (Anne), DJ Sharp (Taniea) and Kory Sharp; his siblings, Darryl Sharp, Damien Sharp (Elizabeth), Deborah Sharp, Dawn Sharp-Heard, Vicki Abbott, Dorcas Sharp and Derek Sharp (Allyson); his cousin Jimmy Moore; and his close friends, Charles Guilton, Terri Mottinger, Shaun Freet (Christie), Kelly Merideth, Karen Ernst, Steve Ernst, Keith Hill, David Ornstein, Will Boden and Jeff Parker. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews, and more than 40 grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews.
