He was predeceased by: his parents, Rovenia Carolina and Woodrow Bristow; and his son Charles Forrest Bristow. He is survived by: his wife Estelle Vandross Bristow; his daughters, Evelyn Lee (Robert), Peggy Buckman, Dr. LeVelle Bristow Jenkins (Cecil Sr.), Carole Birdsall (Dorsey), Cheryl Scott, Crystal Scott, Altimiece Scott Upchurch and Connie Cooper; and his grandchildren, Dontai Jones, Charles Quincy Moore, Dominique O'Neill, Cecil Jenkins Jr., Jared Jenkins, Cameron Scott, Antawaun Scott, Barry Upchurch Jr., Marijah Scott and Eboni Scott.
