He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Loren Echternkamp and Wilma G. Leeper Echternkamp; his son Max Echternkamp (Michelle); his granddaughter Ripley Echternkamp; his significant other Mary Cary; and his sisters, Ann Jones (O. A.) and Lee Echternkamp.

Memorial contributions may be made to Arrowhead Heights Golf Course, or Central Adams Fire Protection District.
