He was predeceased by: his father James R. Berkhouse; his brother Dale A. Berkhouse; his parents-in-law, Fern and Gerald Heck; and his brother-in-law R. Marcus McKeehan.

He is survived by: his wife Becky Berkhouse; his children, Candice (Robbie), James (Julia) and Sierra; his grandchildren, Noah and Arie; his sisters, Pamela Belmonte and Beth Ann McKeehan; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Heck (Connie) and Crystal Berkhouse; Lorna Sue Berkhouse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
