He was predeceased by: his mother Mary M. Shaw. He is survived by: his father Stanley S. Shaw, Sr.; his brother Stanley S. Shaw, Jr.; his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Shaw of Falls Church, Virginia; his sister Kathleen S. Beattie of Tempe; his siblings' children, Lauralyn Lee (Peter), Sean Beattie and Kimberly Saunders (Doug); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carrie, Annie Lee, Ashley Saunders, Ryan and Brendan Saunders; Sierra and Himmelman.

Doug had Alzheimer's Disease.
