He was predeceased by: his close friends, Marie Toles, Robin Miller and Ida Courtney; his parents, Christine Lovett and Nevarro Edwards, Jr.; his sister Norma Jean Penn; his aunt Regina Ruth Evans; his uncles, Paul Lee Edwards and DeVern Lee Edwards; his grandparents, Tom Griffin (Bessie Kithcath), Mozell Curry (Stephen Bondurant), Nevarro Edwards, Sr. (Ruth Seay) and Mizell Edwards of Missouri; his wife Zoe Evenson; Julius B. Lovett.
He is survived by: his children, Tezona Courtney, Erwin LeMar Conley of Columbus, Gayle Lebus of Cleveland and Sonny; his sisters, Grisetta Griffin, Jacqueline Houston, Cristal Pass of Columbus, Linda Bryant (David), Cheryl Weaver (Bruce), Brigette Babasola (Phillip) and Michelle Wardrum; his stepmother Betty Edwards of Cleveland, Ohio.; and his aunt Bonita'Bonnie'Edwards. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, distant relatives, and friends.
