She was predeceased by: her husband Ervin "Mike" Colston; and her sisters, Marianne Chandler, Virginia McCammon, Gertrude Sampson, Dr. Rachel Archie, Portia Dyson (John), Naomi Dempsey (Michael Dempsey), Maureen Dempsey Kendall and Judith Dempsey Hook.

She is survived by: her sister Ethel Traylor; and her daughter Dr. Gayle Colston Barge (Carlos).
