He is survived by: his grandchildren, Natosha Shase Leonard and Breana Jane Hammond; his great grandchildren, Kyla Jazell Simpson of Columbus, Halah Yevette Wynkoop of Columbus and Briella Jane Wynkoop (Evan Wynkoop) of Columbus; and his siblings, Dorthy Dellinger of Florida, Jean Leport of West Virginia, Patricia Knopp, Wilma Wilson, Peggy Foreman, Barbara McKean, Steven Leonard of Ohio and Phillip Leonard of Ohio.
