He was predeceased by: his parents, Venanzio Pingue and Rosina Pingue (Volpe); his siblings, Sabatino Pingue and Giovina Ventresca (Pingue); his brothers-in-law, Tonino Spinosa and Uliano Ventresca; his nephew Uliano Ventresca Jr.; the mother of his children Joanna Loretta Pingue; and his children, Joseph Pingue Jr. (Becky Pinnell), Diana Allen (Pingue), Michael Pingue (Paula) and Maria Pingue (Steve Lindsey).
He is survived by: his friend Rebecca Kintz; his grandchildren, Katherine Allen, Rocco and Presley Pingue; his brothers, Mario Pingue (Irma) and Felix Pingue (Lucy); his sister-in-law Maria Pingue (Ventresca); and his siblings, Franco Pingue (Antonietta) and Filomena Spinosa (Pingue).
