She was predeceased by: her son Allen Anthony Kyles; her parents, Joe Lee Merritt and Luvenia Bethea; and her siblings, Johnny Merritt, Melvin Merritt, Robert L. Merritt, Daniel Merritt and Ella M. Harp.
She is survived by: her children, Shawn M. Davis and Ailee R. Davis; her grandson Jonathan Kyles; and her sister Willie M. Walker. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
