Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger–HilltopGregory Nathan "Nate" Qualls was called into Heaven at 8:06 a.m. on January 6, 2026. He was born on January 4, 1978, in Cambridge, Ohio. Nate is survived by his father, Gregory L. Qualls, and stepmother, Elizabeth Qualls; his mother, Janice Call-Lanning; his loving girlfriend, Shannon O'Leary; his beloved grandson, Theo Robert Lavelle Bolin; his daughters, Nate'liegh-Ann Qualls (Dayton Robert Bolin) and Georgegina Qualls (girls' mother, Amanda Kimbrell); his honorary son, Jerry Noble; and his uncle, Jeff Qualls.
He is also survived by his sisters and brothers: Amanda Qualls; Jennifer and Michael Wyers; and his step-siblings, Carol, Michelle, and Charles Blankenship. He is further survived by his honorary brothers, OJ Riley (Vicky Halterman), Cameron Kelly (Loretta Kelly), and Shannon Kelly. Nate was preceded in death by his grandparents; his uncle, Scott Call; his brother, Jason Lanning; his nephew, Jesse Ratliff; and his cousin, Michael McCabe. He was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him great joy and love throughout his life. Nate was deeply loved by many lifelong friends who became family, and by those who lovingly considered him a brother, uncle, and father figure. Nate had a passion for working on cars, tinkering, and using his "redneck ingenuity," always finding new projects or creative uses for everyday things. He loved taking road trips—both planned and spontaneous—traveling, and trying new experiences. He especially enjoyed cooking his favorite dishes, riding his Harley with his father and friends, and spending time at the shooting range. Known for his goofy sense of humor, Nate was always making someone smile or laugh. He was incredibly selfless, often stopping to help strangers with broken-down or stuck vehicles. While he wasn't always openly emotional, he showed his love through his actions and his steadfast, tough-love way of caring. He helped whenever he could—even if that meant teaching someone how to do things so they could learn for themselves. Despite his many hobbies, adventures, and acts of kindness, Nate's greatest joy was always his family. Everything he did was for them. Strong-willed and stubborn at times, his heart was always with his girls. He made sure they were together, cared for, and had everything they needed. Taking care of his daughters was his greatest pride and joy, and he will be deeply missed. This isn't goodbye—just "bye for now.". Later.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43204 where funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment at Obetz Cemetery.
