He is survived by: his son Steven Brent Abernathy (Kelly R.); his grandchildren, Alexis Abernathy, Kyleigh Abernathy, Jason Haywood and Andrew Haywood; and his siblings, Becky Harris (Randy) and Andrew "Andy" Abernathy (Dina'e). He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
