He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Borovetz and Ida Borovetz; and his sister Cecelia Kanselbaum. He is survived by: his wife Carol Borovetz; his children, Jeffrey Borovetz (Pamela), Jane Nations (Dean) and Julie Borovetz; his grandchildren, Jake Nations (Caroline), Jared Nations (Taylor), Aly Borovetz, Avery Borovetz, Zachary Borovetz and Carly Borovetz; his great grandchild Ella Nations; and his sister-in-law Sue Weiss. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
